	Thinking about the theme of the 4 th Riga International Textile and Fibre Art Triennal: Global Intrigue and the global crisis, I first looked around to find some images which would somehow symbolize the global crisis. Then I run into a photo where a woman is carring a slogan with the text: Save the planet kill yourself. What a message?! But the image started to haunt me… (Even in the youtube there are pieces with the same name.) There is a diversity of theories about the ecological problems from politicians, scientists, journalists… They all make a lot of words about this issue, but we can`t be sure where the absolute truth is… In my work I literally make a lot of big words. I mix the sentence, and the symbols: saving – flower, flowerbed, killing – cross, cemetary. With this work I do not suggest anyone to kill yourself or someone, but I simply think we could all look inside ourselves and „kill“ some environmentally bad habits.
